Anyone can run a light Quick Scan of a homepage. Deeper checks only run on sites you have verified, so the tool cannot be pointed at someone else.

Every request sends RunopassBot/1.0 (+https://runopass.com/bot).

Respects robots.txt

Deep scans follow your robots.txt rules. Block RunopassBot there to opt out.

Gentle rate

At most 2 requests a second and 2 connections at once. Owners can set it lower.

Owned sites only

Deep checks need verified ownership. Unverified sites get one homepage request, at most 3 an hour per user.

No private networks

Internal and private IP ranges are blocked and re-checked after every redirect.

Minimal storage

Reports keep measurements and short excerpts, not copies of your pages. Delete a report any time.

FAQ

Before you buy.

Is a person reviewing my site?

No. Every report is generated by software. There is no consulting or manual auditing, and suggested fixes come from templates.

What are credits, exactly?

Credits are usage credits for this tool only. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn, exchanged for money, transferred or given to another person, and they expire 12 months after purchase.

How do I verify a site?

Before a site's first deep scan we verify that you control it, with a DNS record or a meta tag on the site. The tool is never pointed at a site you do not own.

How do I cancel a Pass?

Open the Manage subscription link in your receipt email and choose Cancel renewal. You keep your benefits until the end of the period you paid for, and every report you have made stays yours.

What if a scan fails?

If it fails on our side, the credits come back automatically. If your site cannot be reached or blocks the bot, the scan is refunded.

Who can use runopass?

Anyone aged 18 or over who wants to check a website they own.
